Activities Facilitator

Part Time | Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 am - 5 pm

Additional hours available on Wednesdays periodically.

Activities Facilitators help the arts mentors as they provide arts programming each Tuesday and Thursday. They will work with HEARTists to make sure they are achieving the artwork and activities to their best potential, helping HEARTists as they work on projects to keep them engaged.

Activities Facilitators work directly with HEARTists to help them meet their needs and goals during arts-based activities. This can be anything from setting up a workstation for a HEARTist with paint and brushes, or standing in with them during performing arts to help learn a new scene, or just heating up their lunch and filling water bottles. Whatever tasks help us through our day and to complete our art work, that’s what a Facilitator does; assisting HEARTists in their projects and keeping them engaged.

The Facilitator are responsible for the overall wellbeing of the HEARTists at the studio, such as keeping attendance, headcounts, carrying essentials needed for outings, etc.

Activities Facilitators will also help with the organization and upkeep of the Studio, and help with HEARTist dropoff and pickup each day.

There is a 1-hour paid working lunch each program day, as your lunch time is also spent together with everyone, and involves helping to get set up and cleaned up.

Some additional events and activities outside of the regular HEART schedule may be available from time to time. Some are completely optional, like movie nights and social events. Others are necessary, such as our performances during the summer and winter. These events will be discussed and planned well in advance.

You would be working with us in-person at our Studio in Park Circle.
