Workshop Wednesdays

An introduction to the arts and HEART for interested adults with Disabilities. Each week, Workshop Artists will join us from 10 am - 3 pm on Wednesdays to explore visual arts and performing arts skills without the pressure of a live performance or showcase. It is not an ongoing spot at HEART, but a short term workshop to enjoy the arts for just a few weeks at a time.

Wednesdays in July - 8th - 29th

10 am - 3 pm

$300

Example Schedule:

10:00 am - Drop-off/Arrival

10:30 am - Daily Draw

A creative kick-starter for the day. Artists are given a Fun Fact and then asked to draw a prompt based on that info. It’s a short, loose, casual way to warm up and start thinking creatively.

11:00 am - Visual Arts

12:00 pm - Lunch

1:00 pm - Mindfulness

Yoga or a meditation. Something to help us refocus, clear our minds to make room for creativity, or reconnect with our bodies before performing.

1:30 pm - Performing Arts

2:30 pm - Free Time

Time to finish projects if you want. Or to chat with friends. It can be social or productive - it’s your choice.

3:00 pm - Pick-up/Go Home

Requirements:

Adult 18+
Beginners welcome and encouraged, but…
Must have an interest in the arts
No history of violence or physical harm to others

Registration Process:

All interested folks can fill out the Registration Form (Deadline June 19th) and return via email to Sierra@heartsc.org
Spaces are limited, so we may not be able to accept all registrants.
You will be notified if a spot is available to you no later than June 20th.
